VIP vzw is the independent trade association of the larger Belgian poultry slaughterhouses and cutting plants with industrial operations and focused on sales on the European and export markets. VIP vzw represents industrial poultry slaughterhouses and cutting plants to various stakeholders such as government departments, research institutions, etc., in all areas related to sector interests.

By using the services of VIP vzw you indicate that you have read this privacy policy and consequently accept the collection and processing of your personal data, in the manner described here. This privacy policy describes the operation of the services provided by VIP vzw, more specifically how VIP vzw collects, uses, protects and shares data.

We will only use the personal data you provide to us for the services or purposes for which you have given your consent. VIP vzw complies with the European Regulation 2016/679 of 27 April 2016 on the protection of personal data, as well as the Belgian Framework Law dated 30 July 2018.  For the performance of its services, VIP vzw is the data controller.

Personal data means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person (the data subject).  An identifiable natural person is considered a natural person who can be directly or indirectly identified.

This concerns the following information:

• Name and first name of the participant and his/her partner
• Email address
• Address
• Phone number of the participant and his/her partner
• Place and date of birth (used only in function of the hotel booking)
• Identity card number or passport number (used only in function of the hotel booking)
• The company you wish to register for
• Your preferred language of communication with VIP

When you visit our website, we collect data such as your IP address, the pages you visit on our website, your preferred language, etc.).  We collect this information through the use of cookies.  Please consult our cookie policy on the website so that you are aware of which cookies we use, and how you can accept, set your preference or reject them.

VIP vzw collects and processes personal data solely for the purpose of organising the General Assembly of AVEC asbl from 12 to 15 September 2024.  Your data will not be used for other purposes without informing you in advance and, if necessary, requesting your consent to do so.

We may also process personal data for the purpose of complying with our legal obligations (including accounting processing, tax obligations and obligations under court orders or other mandatory laws and regulations).

VIP vzw processes your personal data after your registration via the website for the purpose of your participation in the AVEC General Assembly 2024.

In addition, VIP vzw may also seek your explicit consent to process your photo or footage.

VIP vzw may transfer your personal data to third parties only if this is necessary to achieve the performance of the service. 

If VIP vzw discloses your personal data to third parties, a data processing agreement will be concluded with these third parties, stipulating, among other things, that your personal data will be treated confidentially and processed securely.

We require that all our service providers have taken appropriate measures to maintain the security of your information.  Under no circumstances can VIP vzw be deemed liable for any direct or indirect damage resulting from an erroneous or unlawful use by a third party of your personal data.

You have the right to access your personal data free of charge at any time, and to exercise your rights listed below.

You are free to communicate or not your personal data to  VIP vzw.  In addition, you always have the right to VIP vzw request to access, correct, supplement or limit your personal data.

You have the right to ask us to remove your personal data from our database.  However, this right may be limited due to legal obligations. You acknowledge that in case of refusal of communication or request for removal of personal data, certain services may not be available.

You have a right to object to the processing of your personal data for serious and legitimate reasons. In addition, you always have the right to oppose the use of personal data for direct marketing purposes.

You have the right to access your personal data provided by you to VIP vzw in a structured, common and machine-readable form and/or to have it transferred to other responsible parties. 

To the extent that the processing is based on your prior consent, you have the right to withdraw that consent.  However, this right may be limited due to legal obligations.

With such request, you should always enclose a copy of an identification document.

An application may be refused if it is unreasonably repetitive or systematic.

The processing of your personal data does not include profiling and will be carried out by VIP vzw nor be subject to automated decisions.
